The First Seven Days
An Introduction to Your New Christian Journey
Congratulations on this exciting step you’ve taken to discover who God is and the life He has purposed for you!
We have created this seven day devotional with Ps Luke de Jong, our Senior Leader. Join him through these simple thoughts and guidance each day to help you make the most of this new life you’re now living.

Day 1: Starting Your Greatest Journey
Whether you're exploring faith for the first time or finding your way back, this video shares the heart of what it means to be loved, accepted, and known by God. It’s not about religion or rules – it’s about relationship. Discover the simple truth of following Jesus and take your first steps into a life-changing journey. You’re invited.

Day 2: It's Not A Sprint
Discovering God On The Journey
The Christian journey lasts a lifetime – continually placing one foot in front of the other. The challenge is to enjoy the journey while keeping our focus on the destination ahead, discovering more and more about who God is along the way.

Day 3: Have a Chat
Prayer as the Foundation of Faith
Communication is an important part of any relationship, it's no different in our relationship with God. That's why we pray – it’s personal, meaningful, and doesn’t need to be complicated – it just needs to be real. Whether you’re asking for help or simply saying thanks, God is always ready to listen..

Day 4: The Bible is our Road Map
Just like a map helps you navigate unfamiliar roads, the Bible is God’s guide for our lives. God’s Word isn’t outdated or irrelevant – it’s alive, powerful, and still speaks today. It reveals who God is, how He sees us, and how we can walk in true freedom. The Bible sets healthy boundaries not to restrict us, but to lead us into the life we were created to live.

Day 5: Failure Freedom
The Gift of God's Grace
We all stumble – but failure doesn’t have to be final. God’s grace is a daily gift, not something we earn. Even the Apostle Paul struggled to do what was right, yet he discovered the power of God working through his weakness. You’re not alone in your mistakes, and you’re not disqualified by them. When we bring our failures to God, His truth and grace lead us into freedom and strength.

Day 6: Jump On In
Trusting and Following Jesus
Baptism isn’t just a tradition – it’s a personal decision to leave your old life behind and publicly follow Jesus. It’s an outward expression of the inner change that’s already happened. You don’t need to have everything figured out – just a heart willing to follow. If Jesus was baptised and calls us to do the same, why wait? Take the step.

Day 7: Your Next Steps
Your journey with Jesus is just beginning – and there’s so much more ahead. The next step? Get planted in a community. Whether it’s a small group, an Alpha course, or serving in church, real growth happens through real relationships. You were made to know others, be known, and make a difference.
